PARIS, Dec 3 (Reuters) - The French AMF financial markets watchdog said on Monday that the planned bid by SAP (SAPG.DE: Quote, Profile, Research) for Business Objects (BOBJ.PA: Quote, Profile, Research) would run from Dec. 4 to Jan 10.

SAP is buying Business Objects for 4.8 billion euros ($7.08 billion) to obtain its software that can extract useful intelligence from vast amounts of data.

SAP is the world's biggest maker of software applications that help companies automate and manage tasks such as customer-relationship and supply-chain management and enterprise resource planning.
