Business Objects today launched their March Fix Packs for the BusinessObjects XI Release 2 platform. Fix Pack 2.8 and 3.4 have been published on the download site. Some of the highlights that have been fixed or added are:

• In Web Intelligence it is now possible possible to disable the Export to Excel OR the PDF option. Previously these options could not be split. Note that the export option is not greyed out but that you will receive an error message when you try to export in an un-authorized format. (ADAPT00739337)
• They resolved the fact that when, after importing a universe and a Desktop Intelligence report from a BIAR file, the report is refreshed in InfoView, all rompts show the same List of Values. (ADAPT00892294)
• Other Import Wizard problems with BIAR files are now fixed as well (ADAPT00917767, ADAPT00893286)
• Some performance issues have been takled (ADAPT00905764, ADAPT00914080)

Always install a new Fix Pack on a non-production server: it wouldn't be the first time that a patch actually broke something that was working before. So test it properly.
